The Lessons of Dreams and Reality - "Life is like a box of chocolates”

Updated: Jan 8

"Life is like a box of chocolates – you never know what you're going to get" says Forrest Gump. When I started this project, I felt much the same way. I dove in with great enthusiasm, full of energy and hope that I would uncover many special dreams.

It's like expecting a beautiful, shiny chocolate... only to find out half of it contains nuts, and you're allergic. Well, reality can surprise you, but that's part of the journey.

Inspired by Simon Squibb, I wanted to showcase talented individuals who dreamed up something truly special. (If you’re curious about the backstory, feel free to check out my previous blog post!) Just as running was Forrest's life, the passion of these people fueled my own journey. My greatest joy has been seeing how much talent and drive is hidden within them.

On the Path of Lessons

As I moved forward, I realized this project was much more than I initially thought. First, just like Forrest running, there were moments when I felt like I was sprinting into the void, as many people didn’t respond to my outreach. But then I understood that maybe they hadn’t received my message in time, or perhaps it didn’t resonate with them. And of course – I get it – today’s world is full of scams, and it’s hard to trust a 'crazy' stranger. Still, the disappointment didn’t deter me... Well, maybe I tripped a few times along the way, but hey, even Forrest had to catch his breath sometimes, right?

There were also those who did respond, and their stories gave me real inspiration. Like finding the sweetest chocolate in the box – they are wonderful, strong, and brave people whom I will do everything in my power to support. They are the true gems of this journey, and I’ve been eagerly waiting to introduce them to you.

When Reality Hits Hard

One particular story deeply moved me, and its weight was hard to process. I found myself in a complicated situation, and I quickly realized my capabilities were limited in this case. I did what I could within my means, but it was tough to "let go" of the story.

I was also fortunate enough to connect with some incredible young people whose stories I’m unable to share at the moment. But I hope to in the future 😊 (Working with young individuals requires special attention, as without parental consent, we cannot share their personal stories, photos, or most importantly, contact information. This is not only a legal responsibility but also an ethical one to protect their privacy and ensure their safety.)

What Came Out of the Chocolate Box?

So, this project wasn’t just about dreams but also about responsibility and accepting “rejection.” We have to acknowledge that we can’t always help everyone, no matter how much we want to. But the few people who did respond are so valuable that I will do everything I can to support them.

Just as Forrest kept running towards his goal, I believe these people will reach theirs, and I will happily follow their progress as they blossom.

If anyone feels connected to these dreams, don’t hesitate to reach out – as Forrest would say, "Life is full of surprises."

Thank you for joining me, Miti, Tasneem, Jackson, Sam, James,Caleb

Hello everyone!

I’m Miti, and my journey as an artist under 7Wonders Designs has been all about embracing the chaos and beauty of inspiration. I started drawing and collecting ideas a few years ago, but I wasn’t sure how to introduce my vision because I had so many projects I wanted to work on and share all at once.

That’s when Inspiration Is Messy was born—a collection of sketches and future projects all wrapped into one artwork. It’s my way of saying that art isn’t perfect; it’s messy, it’s experimental, and it’s a reflection of curiosity and self-expression.

For me, the biggest challenge has been getting stuck in the planning phase, paralyzed by the idea of what to do next. But Inspiration Is Messy stands for not being afraid to try. Art is never perfect—it’s a process of discovery. The pursuit of perfection only weighs you down and stops you from creating, from being. Instead, I aim for play, for freedom, and for the journey. Art is the result of this messy process, and that’s what makes it beautiful.

Peace & Love,Miti

My name is Tasneem, and I’ve always felt a deep connection to the ocean. Growing up, I found joy in nature, science, and painting—passions that continue

to shape who I am today. While I currently work as a pharmacist, I feel a strong calling to shift my focus toward making a meaningful impact. My goal is to inspire others to stay creative while helping protect our oceans.

I dream of building a vibrant culture centered around eco-friendly, creative education. I aim to generate income through selling prints on canvas, T-shirts, bags, and publishing children’s books. Additionally, I plan to create educational videos on YouTube, sharing my love for art and ocean conservation. By fostering a community of like-minded individuals, I hope to encourage everyone to embrace their creativity while raising awareness about the importance of preserving our ocean.

I am excited for the journey ahead and the positive impact we can make together

Hello to everyone reading this!

My name is Jackson, and I’m from the great state of Minnesota in the United States! I work as a swim instructor, but what really fuels my passion is rock climbing.

Over the years, I’ve noticed that the climbing shoe market is almost entirely dominated by three brands: La Sportiva, Scarpa, and Evolv. While there are other brands, they don’t meet the same quality, which can seriously limit both improvement and enthusiasm for this amazing sport.

These brands have essentially cornered the market, and because of that, their shoes are incredibly expensive, often creating a barrier to entry for climbers. I’m looking to connect with people who have experience in product and shoe design, others who are passionate about climbing, and ideally someone with knowledge of the materials used in the creation of climbing shoes. My goal is to learn about the process and, in the long term, create a commercially viable, cost-effective, and high-quality climbing shoe. No one should have to break the bank just to get a pair of shoes for this sport.

Thank you so much for your time!

Hi,I’m Caleb Williamson, a 23-year-old inventor and mechanical engineer from Trinidad, Colorado. I graduated last May from Colorado Mesa University, but my real passion is creating—turning ideas into reality and sharing them to inspire and bring joy to others.

Right now, I’m focused on my project, Multiverse Melee, an AI-powered board game unlike anything out there. With Multiverse Melee, players can battle across any imaginable theme—literally anything you can think of!

Whether you want historical figures riding dinosaurs or mythical creatures battling cloud formations, the AI generates a fully balanced, unique deck based on your chosen theme. Each game is completely different, with over 1,500 unique abilities ensuring endless combinations and strategies. The possibilities are limitless, making every match as fresh and unpredictable as the last. After a year of development, the game is now live at multiversemelee.com, and I’m incredibly excited to see where it goes.

This dream has deep roots for me. When I was a kid, my brothers and I built a game using LEGO figures, creating epic battles for hours on end. That childhood game has now evolved into Multiverse Melee, where I’ve taken that same imaginative spirit and supercharged it with AI technology. I’m driven not only by the joy of creation but by the desire to help my dad escape his 9-5 job and pursue his dreams. On top of that, my faith keeps me grounded and motivated. I’m inspired by Colossians 3:23-24: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” That’s how I approach this project—giving it everything I’ve got.

What I need most right now is for Multiverse Melee to be seen. I’ve poured everything into it, and while funding would help, exposure is key. I want people to experience the creativity the game offers. I’m also eager to partner with board game companies to elevate the game and explore developing AI technology for their games.

Thanks,Caleb Williamson,Multiverse Games LLC

Hello everyone!

I’m Sam, an entrepreneur from the Midlands with a deep passion for creativity and helping others. That passion led to the creation of Live Displays, where I merged these two loves to build affordable, custom-branded spaces that allow people to take their dreams and ideas into the public eye.

My dream is to support as many people across the UK as possible, whether you're a face painter, a coffee enthusiast, or an artist with a vision. I believe the spaces we create should open doors to endless possibilities—whether it’s a portable coffee shop or even a mobile doorbell for those unable to travel. I want to help bring every project to life with adaptable, portable spaces that fit each unique idea and skillset.

What drives me is the desire to help people bring their passions to life in a space they can be proud of. At Live Displays, we go beyond selling gazebos—we offer free branding and logo creation to help our customers build something meaningful. Hearing feedback from the people we’ve helped, and knowing we played a part in their success, keeps me motivated every day.

You can help by sharing your dream with us and seeing how a branded space can bring it to life. Spread the word to friends and family, and if you know anyone with an idea they want to test out and share with the public, I’d love to help them get started!

Sam
